In June 2024, a team of nine young adults from GYC Northwest traveled to Togiak, Alaska, to run a VBS, host health programs, and renovate the local SDA church. Their efforts impacted over a hundred kids, giving away nearly fifty Bibles, and building lasting community connections.
We're returning to continue this work with an evangelistic series, VBS, health seminars, and community outreach, offering participants a chance to engage in prayer and relationship-building.
Togiak, with a population of about 800, is located nearly 400 miles Southwest of Anchorage, Alaska in the Togiak National Wildlife Refuge. Accessible only by small plane from Dillingham (78 miles away), summer temperatures range from 37°F to 66°F—providing a unique environment for both service and connection.
