2025 convention

Theme verse: Isaiah 61:1-3

The promise to give beauty for ashes is a prophecy pointing to the Messiah. Its fulfillment and fruits are still very much for us today. Jesus Christ was the Messiah and His life and sacrifice brought redemption and hope to the lost human race. This promise is for us.

But if this promise is for us, then why do we continue to struggle with sin, worth, and depression? Why do we live with pain? Why do we feel bound by the memories of what we’ve done or what has been done to us?

Despite all we’ve been through and the ashes we carry, Jesus sees beauty in you. He yearns for that beauty to rise from the ashes that you may stand as trees of righteousness. In this process, Christ seeks to renew your heart and make you whole.

Young people, you are beautiful in the eyes of Jesus and He wants to show you that. Get ready to see what He sees.

    Testimonial

"Many of my generation seem to feel an emptiness that is not being satisfied by what is being offered them, and rightly so. [GYC Northwest] is filling a void that is desperately needed at this time.” —Brian, young adult, Upper Columbia Conference.
